How
many times have you heard the following line,
or something like it:
"The
thing that's stopping you from getting what
you want is your beliefs."
Or
...
"The
thing that's stopping you from getting what
you want is your 'programming.'"
Well,
in lots of cases such statements are true. Many
of us, including me, have beliefs and programming
(collections of beliefs that shape behavior)
inside our subconscious minds (put there by
events and experiences in our pasts) that do
block us from getting what we want.
In
the terminology of my Invisible Path and 11th
Element work, such beliefs can translate into
messages that flow through the invisible network
and have limiting impact on the results you
produce.
So
we all have beliefs that are or could be holding
us back. So, here's the million dollar question:
"How
do you find those beliefs and change them so
you can start producing different results?"
While
many people will tell you beliefs and programming
are the "problem," few will -- or
can -- tell you how to actually change them.
I
recently attended my friend John Assaraf's seminar
called "Living Life On Your Own Terms."
While there, I received many benefits, but on
the topic we're discussing here, I was introduced
to a new idea I hadn't considered before, and
reminded of a very powerful technique I'd forgotten
about. I'd like to share both with you in this
article.
Let's
talk about the new idea first. I used to believe
that in order to change a belief, you had to
somehow go into your subconscious mind, find
it, "erase" it and replace it with
new belief, or just change it at the core -
just like changing a filename or document on
your computer.
What
John explained and demonstrated at the seminar,
the idea that was a major "aha" for
me, is that beliefs are very physical things
that have very physical "neural pathways"
carved out for themselves in your brain. So,
you can't just go in and delete or change them.
It doesn't work that way.
Beliefs
and the neural pathways they create have been
built up, strengthened and deepened over time
and they don't just "go away." What
you want to do, John explained, is choose a
new belief you prefer to have driving your results,
create a new neural pathway in your brain for
that belief, and then strengthen and deepen
the new pathway so much that the brain chooses
to follow it instead of the old one.
Cool
huh?
The
other thing that's great about this approach
is you don't even have to know what the old
"limiting belief" is (although many
of us do know what such "offenders"
are) or where it came from. All you need to
do is "install" the new belief in
such a way as to make it take priority over
the old one.
Make
sense?
OK,
so now we're back to the question "How
do I do it?"
There
are actually lots of ways. You can use NLP (neuro
linguistic programming) belief change techniques.
Hypnosis,
Closed eye processes and meditations of various
kinds.
The
technique John recommended at his seminar, a
technique he has used with great success, and
has taught others to use with great success,
is called the "Creative Bombardment Technique."
Using
this technique, you literally bombard your brain
with the new belief(s) you want installed (the
new beliefs that will be necessary for you to
create what you want in your life) through multiple
"sensory channels -- simultaneously --
for a 30 day period.
When
I say "multiple channels," I mean
through sight, sound and feeling in various
ways. More about this in a minute.
If
you do it right, at the end of the 30 day period,
you have a new belief pattern solidly carved
out in the neural pathways of your brain and
subconscious mind.
I'd
heard of the Creative Bombardment Technique
before but had never used it. Since I'd discovered
a few limiting beliefs that were holding me
back on a few business projects I've been working
on, and since the time had come to change things,
I decided to give the technique a try.
So,
here's what I did:
1)
I started the project out, like I start all
projects, using my Invisible Path/11th Element
System to ask for help to "install"
the new beliefs and make my use of the Creative
Bombardment Technique as successful as possible.
2)
I purchased inexpensive software that flashes
subliminal messages on your computer screen
while you're working, and copied the new beliefs
I wanted to carve neural pathways for into it.
I spend a lot of time most days at my computer,
so by using the software, my brain was "bombarded"
with the new beliefs - visually - lots of times
every day, for the 30 days. To get the software
I'm using, visit here:

3)
I also recorded my new beliefs onto a CD with
a background of Mozart music (which is known
to accelerate learning in the brain) -- and
I listened to the CD multiple times a day for
30 days. So, my brain was also getting bombarded
auditorily.
I
have a miniature recording studio in my office
through my PC and did this myself. You could
get it done quickly and cheaply by visiting
a local recording studio or maybe a radio station.
If you want to be able to do it yourself on
an ongoing basis, and have an mini- studio through
your PC to do all kinds of cool audio things,

can help you out:

(Click

4)
I purchased another software program that I
used to create my own "Subliminal CD"
with the new beliefs I wanted installed using
a technique called "silent subliminals"
-- the most powerful subliminal technology I've
ever seen, and the only one I've ever seen really
work.
I
had that CD playing in the background while
I worked at my desk, while driving, before going
to bed, and upon awakening in the morning. This
way, my brain was getting bombarded in yet another
way. To get this subliminal creation software,
which requires some PC and audio savvy to use,

5)
I created what's called a "Vision Board."
For me, this is just a large cork board I post
visual images I cut out from magazines or newspapers
or created or found elsewhere that represent
"outcomes" I want to create or have
when the new beliefs go into effect.
The
Vision Board is in easy view from my desk chair
when I work in my office, and when I enter my
office and I studied it many times during the
day, reinforcing how great it would be to have
and be what the images display.
Note:
If you're an Invisible Path or 11th Element
veteran, I'm now using the Vision Board to supplement
the written requests in my Request Box and have
notified my Director/Inner CEO of that fact.
6)
Twice a day, sometimes 3 times or more (if I
have time), I went into a meditative state and
quickly visualized each of the beliefs manifesting
in my world - with a lot of passion and excitement
(which I leaned can accelerate the formation
of neural pathways in the brain).
Note:
If you're an Invisible Path or 11th Element
veteran, you know I have mixed emotions about
the power of visualization - alone -- to create
results. However, I've always been convinced
of its power as part of a much larger strategy,
which in this case was the Creative Bombardment
Technique as described here.
Sound
like a lot of work? Not really. The creation
of the "tools" took about an hour
total, and then it was just listening, watching,
meditating and visualizing which I do anyway.
And
even if it was a lot of work, it would be worth
it to put in the effort for 30 days to create
new beliefs, new programming, and new neural
pathways in your brain you can benefit from
for the rest of your life. Don't you think?
What
are the results? I just finished the 30 day
"treatment" for which I had 3 goals:
1)
Change my thoughts
2)
Change certain feelings I had in response to
certain "triggers" in my daily life
3)
Change the results I was producing outwardly
with the "struggling" projects
So,
how did I do?
The
thoughts have changed.
The
feelings have changed.
I'm
on track for a record quarter in sales for the
business projects I wanted to "change"
the beliefs about. Pretty cool, huh?
One
final comment. If you're familiar with my Invisible
Path and 11th Element work, you know I believe
the most powerful forces that impact us in life
are what I call "life purpose" and
"mission." You also know I believe
that if you attempt to use any technique to
produce a result that's not in alignment with
your purpose/mission (no matter how powerful
the technique may be in potential), the technique
will ultimately fail.
In
the case of the Creative Bombardment Technique,
you may actually succeed in carving out new
neural pathways in your brain and having new
beliefs installed by using it, but my belief
is that the shift won't translate into tangible
results in your world if the new belief conflicts
with your mission and purpose.
I
believe when the Creative Bombardment Technique
works (like it did for me in this instance,
and like it has for John and many others), it
works when you use it to install new beliefs
to help you produce results that are in alignment
with your purpose and mission.
The
Creative Bombardment Technique is not a magic
bullet and it's not guaranteed to help you get
where you want to go. But it's a very powerful
tool to add to your tool belt and to use in
pursuit of your wants and dreams!
So,
I urge you to start today and go for it!
